Laurence went to an indor school today, to try his hoof at jumping!
He was backed in January, and has been coming on sooo well. He is the bravest and most laid back youngster ive ever met!

This wont be a regular thing, as I dont want to rush him, we did about 20 mins of work, and will maybe do that once a month.

I walked him around the arena, and he snorted at the walls a couple of times but wasnt fussed.
We then put out trotting poles - he trotted beautiful toward them, jumped the first one, canter stride, jumped the second :o:p

Ah well i thought, put a jump up, hes clearly not going to be afraid!

The first couple of attempts were bold, brave, but lacked a little understanding :p:p:o:o Big cutie... stunning paces :p:o just not quite how one should pop over a jump :D
(please excuse my camera not enjoying the lighting or dustiness, i can asure you that me and the horse are not ghosts :o)

The little fence was obivously slightly confusing, "why should i jump it when i can clearly step over it??" Big darling

So we moved it up slightly and wow!!!:eek::eek:

He never hesitated once, never looked down, never put a foot out of place

Im sooo chuffed, what a star!! :D:D:D

What a brave baby horse! Looks like he is loving it, good luck with him

Hes incredibly brave, :) He doesnt bother with anything! He went straight on and off the trailer without thinking, and i never felt one ounce of hesitation on approach to any jump! :o

Hes the sort who walks through a puddle youve aimed him for then half way through he thinks "wait a minute, how did that happen!" :p
