I picked up our new baby chickies on Sunday. 2 Buff Sussex and 6 Cream Legbar (would have been 4 and 4 but apparently the Buff didn't hatch well.)

Kept chickens for years but its my first time with babies. They are so cute and we are going to keep them in on heat for at least another 4 weeks or so. Attached a couple of pics for the cuteness factor x

Aww. Super cute. I've always liked Buff Sussex (and Light Sussex) but recently just taken on some ex-farm birds so will be a while before I can concentrate on some 'nicer' breeds. Enjoy.

I love our cream legbar chickens- they’re so friendly and vocal (especially when they think they should be getting fed, they make a grizzling noise!). The beautiful eggs are a bonus!

what area are you in....? just in case I might need to go and get some..?!

My friend breeds chickens and some of her's lay amazing coloured eggs. We got 2 buff Opringtons chicks of her last year, they are fab girls :)

If your local search Tree House Chickens on FB, there a great picture on her feed with the eggs
