Right, we have a cat that lives in our garage through it's own choice. It occasionally mooches into the house, but is hugely shy and doesn't really enjoy/understand human company. It will eat out of my hand and will be stroked very lightly if i put food in front of it first!! Well, i've been feeding it for a month or so, maybe 6 weeks and it's always around. We named her 'Miss Hiss', as she enjoys spitting at us!!
Sat morning i looked in the garage where it has a kip and to my excitement and matching our suspicions, she had given birth to three cute little kittens!! However, she is not our cat, but we don't know who she belongs to or rather if she belongs to anyone.
We don't want the kittens and know that they would find new homes quite quickly of we took them to the RSPCA/Battersea Cattery. However, she's not really a pet cat. We thought of sending them all to be rehomed/looked after until they're weaned, and telling the home to spay her (which they will anyway) and we'll have her back once the kittens are old enough).
What do you think of this plan? I love little animals and would happily keep them all, but my OH isn't so keen... It's his idea to send them away, but i think it is sensible or we will end up with thousands of feral kittens/cats everywhere.
Don't know what the best thing for the cats is...
