baby lambs

just been checking horses and sheep got 2 babies she lambed first last time beg jan so produced 4 lovely lambs this year bless her perfect excuse to not go to far this year only 119 to go in next 4 weeks.

at least they are in warm and mum drying them, wont go out for along time.

We've started (albeit slowly) on the 11th, but have only 3 lambed so far; me thinks Derek the Dorset has been having a bit of a lazy to start with Have 4 boys and a girl so far.
Would you believe it I had to blimming pull every single one out I hope it will improve as we go along... Although fat chance as we are lambing quite a few this year's ewe lambs this time round.

dorsets always early, this is a charolais x ewe and char dad, she had them herself 1 boy 1 girl.

Yes, that's true with Dorsets, we generally aim for 3 litters in every 2 years And the price of lamb around Easter helps to motivate
I'm a bit peeved, though as I wanted some replacement ewe lambs and have only 1 so far!
