Can you use them for humans and horses?
Anyone used them before?
thanks xxx

I was told to use Impatiens for me and horsey. Except that I'm allergic to alcohol (they're all disolved in brandy) and have to leave the two drops in a glass of water for a week before I can drink it, it's helped me settle... haven't tried it on horsey yet, but think it's worth a go.

Fair number of people seem to try Rescue Remedy and find it works

what were you considering trying?

Yes I think that is my opinion! Well certainly your comment would reflect my experience! Perhaps the placebo effect is involved for some people and that helps them to feel better...

I used to use acupuncture on horses and dogs with good effect (yes, I am a vet, yes, it is legal) - which leads me to believe there is more than placebo effect.... but frankly, if it works, it doesn't bother me that western science hasn't worked out why yet. Most of what we do has a fairly shaky scientific basis with at least one unproven assumption at the base of any treatement.

I used them on myself loads when I had to jump at college (I totally lost my confidence in lessons there but had to get through the module, so dosed up on Bach remedies). Whether it actually worked or not was irrelevant, as it made me feel loads better and I passed my module tests fine. Haven't tried them on a horse though.

Hi, I use them, esp the rescue remedy. I also use the mimulus for nerves. I used the RR today as I do every time that I compete.
I used them on my skitty young horse with no patience and spooky etc. She did calm and at the time these were the only things that I had changed. I even used it on my son to help with his school work. I have friends that have used them for exams with good results too.
So from my experience, they have worked although this isn`t to be said for everyone. I also have a book on bach flower remedies for horse and rider, so I used this to decide which ones to use.

How do you use them? In her feed? On an apple? Directly under her tongue? (How - not with the glass dropper, I imagine?)

curious

thanks

i tried rock rose on horse for anxiety (spooking) but horsey had a big flehm(?sp) response and didn't look too impressed. made little difference to behaviour prob as he thought i'd just tried to poison him LOL

. also very expensive as they need 15 drops and the tiny bottle costs £6
i didn't feel it made much difference to him but might help you settle you'll only need 2-3 drops (tastes horrible)

I use Arnica, Aconie, Ambras grisea, Blue With the Bach flower Space clearing combination. Works a treat for stressage of eventing& show jumping & should I get nervous then I have a squirt myself!!

I am a bach flower remedy practitioner and an equine dentist, I use the remedies a lot on horses and their owners, they really do work, the hard thing is working out which remedy to use. There is a good book called 'Emotional healing for horses and ponies' by Stefan Ball, or get in contact with me some way and we can chat.
