Am currently on the market looking for a new back/body protector, something that I can wear for everyday use, schooling, hacking, low level competition etc. Also preferable something that can be worn under a hoodie or a coat and is non restrictive or too bulky.
I totally appreciate that I need to try them on to determine which one/style suits me and my body type best, am just looking for suggests, advice and recommendations before purchasing.
I've had the RaceSafe 2010 body protector in the past, however it is a bit bulky and resistive.

Many Thanks.

Motion lite won’t give protection at the front. I wear the latest race safe model and yes it’s bulky and sometimes gets warm but if I come off… Got to go for what you fell is best choice.

I wear an Airowear. Mine is now quite old and that model has gone butit is something like the Airmesh II Ladies Body Protector - Black

My bp s protected me for many years, out hacking and removed a lot of the worry. The bp goes over a shirt or thin jersey and under ones riding jacket or coat.
You replace them every 4 years. I may need to replace mine but I am in my 80s and havent ridden recently.

I'm in the latest racesafe. Occasionally I think I should just get a back protector or air jacket but I do barely notice it and it's the best protection.

Plenty have copied the racesafe design now, they're all the same level of protection so worth a look.

Do you have the RaceSafe Motion3?

How do you find it when riding? I would normally put a hoodie or a coat over the top.

Another vote for aerowear - its not too bulky and doesn't get too hot. I wear one under an air jacket for hacking on roads and jumping solid fences and it's great.

I got the Racesafe HX3 over the weekend and like it a lot so far. I found the previous one that I used to borrow, a Champion one, far too bulky and restrictive and my new one is neither, v lightweight and flexible.
