back check ups

just out of interest, is this something people do only if they suspect a problem or if there is an ongoing problem or do you do it as routine once yearly/6 monthly just to be safe and sure???

I get my boy checked every 6-12 months.

Initially I got him checked as I suspected a problem. Now have check every 6 months or sooner if he doesn't seem 'right'.

I have one of mine checked every year, the other two haven't needed their back looked at.

if it's not broken don't fix it is my motto. I will have teeth done annually but back only if I suspect there is a problem.

My girl has had problems with her back in the past so she is now checked monthly mainly for maintenance but do notice the difference every time, come to think of it all horses on the yard are done monthly as routine maintanence.
