Had a lovely break in Sussex. Dog thought she had died and gone to heaven. She normally sticks to me like glue and continually looks back at me if she has gone a few yards in front. However she got so excited with the new area I lost her in Bodiam Castle car park ! She was running round frantically despite me calling her from about 30ft away and she actually looked at me directly twice. The term blind panic seems to be just that, someone caught her just as she was going into the toilets (it was the ladies as well)! The place I stayed at was a Edwardian (I think) showmans van with a couple of extensions. It was totally dog friendly. As soon as I got back home the gloom descended on me though !

Glad you both had a nice break, but sorry to hear you are down about being back home. Is it a specific gloom (your health?) or is it post holiday blues? I hope you feel cheerier soon.

I always hate going home from a holiday, just as well we don’t have many holidays! People often say I look a bit younger than I am. I say it’s thanks to my husband (he doesn’t like hols) no holidays abroad in the sun has helped keep the wrinkles at bay ?. I live in Sussex near the Goodwood race track. There were cars going round it this morning making a bit of a noise but I quite like it and not every day. There are two spitfires at the airport and we often get free displays over our small estate ?

Im bored with the usual dogs walks already ! Wondering if its worth me nipping off for another few days somewhere in late November or if I would be confined to barracks cos November is usually blimmin cold and dark and wet . At least when I was in new surroundings it took my mind off the health situation. Dog would be in favour Im sure !
