For those who aren't aware, my lovely Welsh Cob has been off work as the result of a ruptured suspensory ligament & chipped sesamoid bone for about 6 months. We got the all clear about a month ago to return to normal work and last weekend a friend from work came out to take some pictures so I can see how we're getting on.

So heres a selection of said photos, I would welcome any CC

Cus he's handsome even before we start:

Hope you enjoyed

Sorry some of them aren't the best quality, I have edited a few but frankly I'm not very good at it!

TBC... Wow! I love the 5th one (canter, was it meant to be blurred? it actually gives the picture a really nice effect!) and the leg yield to the right... he is stunning and you look so good together!

No it wasn't meant to be blurry, she couldn't figure out the best exposure and shutter speed combination, so alot of the pictures are actually similar to the canter one, but I quite like some of them! I think it tricks your eye into almost seeing movement.

Yes I was rather impressed with the leg yield picture too, I never knew he could come under himself and reach so well!!

umm can you come and teach frank to leg yield like that pretty please

he is looking fab tbc

haha...I'll try and teach Frank to leg yield & you can work on Shadows' jump!!

Hows the one arm thing going, are you cast free and back on board yet?

Its a deal

He kinda does but its normally a minimum effort version, instructor doesn't reckon its too terrible but the couple of elementaries I have played with I have gotten 'none shown' am sure he thinks his body can't go certain ways! He makes up for it with his shoulder in, he likes those.

Arm pretty much there, just struggle for long periods and he has been getting away with a lot as I either ride him with one hand or can't take too much contact on the left rein which he loves! Need to have a play tommorrow night to see if I can do the team jumping on saturday as I am one down, I doubt it but figure I would try! Its prob not a good idea, I keep talking myself in and out of it! - I will be fuming if anything happens as will my mum and my supervisor. I havent ridden much as my sister has been home so been able to keep him fit for me.

got my 6 week fracture clinic appt on monday and some more physio but so far thats been a bit pointless, just stating the obvious really apart from dusting!! I dont do dusting

- Physio used to older people who would have kept it in sling for the prescribed 3 weeks not me who was riding and driving by that point!

Trendybraincell I insist you delete your post immediately. It's clearly just an excuse to show off your stunning ned and his awesome "uphill" paces. I'm off to PM Admin.........................

You do really have to get after him for good lateral work, Franks leg yield is probably similar to our half pass! Good to hear you're on the mend, although Frank may not be so pleased! hmm...perhaps jumping this soon is probably not the most sensible idea, but lets be honest...how often do we listen to what doctors and physios tell us!!

Thanks BoF, he's not the most welsh of welsh cobs (a modern lighter type) but he still has all the typical native issues: I can't lengthen...stretch my neck down...go sideways (pah!) taken a long time to get where we are.

ahhh button pushing, thats a little excessive! How will I show off my pony if you all ignore me
