Delighted to jump today, felt good to be back on Ludo and jumping again after 3.5 months recovering from a fall. Not a single bit of nerves either so that was ace. Gonna keep the fences small for now , take the pressure off me a bit , don't want to end up hurt again so just little jumps for now.

Just happy happy happy and thought I'd spread the love :-)

Brilliant!!!

Am so pleased for you!!

Been following your posts for a couple of years now (not stalking you :) just vaguely similar experiences with a - then - young green horse :o) and then in May this year had my most debilitating stupid fall (broken shoulder) :(

Just started hacking on our own this week (been back riding couple of months now, just the fall occurred on a solo hack :() we don't do anything scary like jumping!!! But just in a roundabout way saying 'Thank You' for sharing your experiences - I felt less alone and less stupid during the darker times :o :)

DDx

Well done you.

But that fence is SMALL?? (well the 2nd on anyway, I may just be able to get over the 1st) I just hope the instructor who I have booked a jumping lesson with next week and impressed upon her the need to start small doesn't use the same tape measure!

SMALL?!!! SMALL??!!! They are huge!! LOL!

I love your horse - gorgeous (think I have said it before).

Very pleased for you. :-)

Aw thanks guys , lol it is small for Ludo, he makes 1.60 look like a trotting pole. Way more jump than I could ever dream if using.

I was having issues though when the fences went up, if a missed a stride and ludo ballooned it and I lost my balance when I landed on him he would buck me off and hurt me a few months back. Anyway we back again and ready to rock n roll again lol. But not jumping much bigger than that for next month or so till I can learn to stop going for long strides and go on the deep one Instead

Thanks DD I'm glad someone bothers to read my posts lol. And that you can relate to it, sometimes you just feel like giving up but for me the horse is worth the effort, I adore him. And I WILL learn to ride the bleeding thing lol. I'm slowly getting there , bit by bit. Hacking now for us is no issue he a nice plod along, it's all very pleasant. We will get there just need to believe in ourselfs - that's what I keep telling myself anyway :-)
