The shop I bought mine from told me to go up a size from the one I had ordered. Wish I hadn't as its just slightly too large for my horse and slips back a little
Trouble is cant send it back as it was only after it had been on my horse for a few days that I realized it was too big.
Sorry to bring this old thread back up, but need to order a rug ASAP.
All the rugs advertised are in sizing 125 cm, 135 cm, 145cm, etc........these are not equivalent to UK sizing (unless I'm being extra thick!)
What size should I order for a broad Chested show cob, size 6ft6-9 in weatherbeeta rugs? As he's very sensitive skinned I don't want it to slip back and rub him
Thank you.....it's a bit mad I've spent about an hour Googling and there is nothing about sizing anywhere! Do you measure from wither to tail or something?!?!
Bringing up an old thread sorry! I just wondered if you had purchased the necks to go with the mesh rug and if so what did they cme up like? I'mstuck on which size to order. My boy has a long neck and takes large in premier equine neck rugs so was unsure to go for the 155 or 165 cm on the neck rug on these? I don't like them to pull when he puts his head down, any help would be so appreciated! I've been googling everywhere to try and find a guide, thank you
The mesh necks are generous id say. To be honest though mine only wear the necks if they are going out competing & will have their headcollars on. If I leave them on in the stable without the headcollar they just fall down the neck and get bunched up at the bottom and get all uncomfy
Oh no really.. I was hoping to put it under my horses outdoor rugs in the winter as he is now getting stiff in his neck as hes getting older and thought it may help in the winter months. I guess i could find a way to attach it to his rug i may get the 6ft9 and not the 7ft one if they are generous.. hmm its so hard!!
I think you could sew it into another neck rug as it's only thin. It wouldn't stay up by itself though. It's hit and miss if attaching it to the headcollar even works as it starts to pull it down.
The rugs are amazing though, all mine have got them and I can tell when they have had them on or not so id say it's worth trying to attach it to another neck rug
