Back on Track Rugs

Hi

I got the pad as the complete rugs were too expensive for my pocket - they have a large strip of velco along the back so I bought a cheap weave rug and stiched the velcro on the inside of the rug along the back - my stitching is not that great, but has held up to 4 months usage and still going strong- was much more affordable than one of the complete rugs !

sorry.. forgot to say where I got it... ordered it from a shop on ebay in UK (was cheaper for me to buy in UK than order in Germany) .. the ebay shops were definately the cheapest when I was looking.

Depends what you want to use it for and how often?

I have both the mesh and fleece rugs for my horses. The fleece I use as I would any other fleece - after bathing and to travel in at a show etc. and I use the mesh as I would a summer sheet. But I have also traveled in it.

I have some back on track rugs in stock at the moment. If you would like to discuss them further then please PM me.

i have the mesh one as I can use it as an under rug all year round and for travelling to and from comps. Very happy with it. Also have the t shirt which is fantastic at keeping me warm and supple in this weather, got mine from HR medics.

thanks guys, i have a 5yr old tbX who was on box rest for 8 months and lost all muscle. he was just coming back to hack when the north pole invaded so he hasnt been out in 3 weeks now!! but i noticed he was quite sore through his back when in work so i had thought one of these rugs would be good to help him when building back up again. i would like to leave the rug on him most of the time, as an underrug, which is why i have kind of been thinking about the fleece or mesh - prob the fleece would hold up better with continual use??
i know they are not cheap - but i think the benefits would outweigh - its only the cost of 4 visits by a therapist if he has continual problems so i hope it helps. i have used the leg wraps before and i thought they were great.

you would be better going with the mesh than the fleece - fleece tends to stretch and pull on the shoulder whereas the mesh will hold it's shape better. My boys currently have theirs on 24/7 but remember that every 3 weeks they need to have a break from the rug.
