Tonight, little sister got on her pony (13.1 welsh D x exmoor) who was fine in walk, seemed happy enough and accepting the bit nicely..
But after a few circles in walk she put her into trot, and her ears went back, she looked tucked up and unbalanced, and was sticking her head out to one side. Not a happy girl. So she walked again...fine.. trotted...same thing again!

We got my sister off and i had her trot Bonnie up, sound as a pound, nothing seemed wrong with her.
Took saddle off and had a poke, no reaction.
Asked another livery if they thought her saddle might not be fitting her (i trust this livery's judgement) and she said she reckoned the saddle was fine.
So Hannah got back on and we looked again, watched her trot, same as before.

Anyone any ideas?
I think we'll have the vet out if shes the same tomorrow but just thought id post incase anyone had any thoughts

Could it be her teeth? Pony at our yard stuck her head out to the side and it was found to be her teeth that were the problem. Otherwise can only think it could be another lameness issue like maybe tweaked something playing in the field.

I would get the physio and saddler out - regardless of whether you think the saddle is ok or not, it could be that the stuffing has got slightly harder in places and you cant tell without opening it up.

I wouldnt bother with a vet.
