hi jw wondering if any of you HHO'ers could inform me which back person to go too there so many.

physio, chiropracter, osteo... i'm comfused.

basically im 18 and i have a bad back! :O
well its not too bad but i am very achey and my lower back aches lots when riding and my sholders feel tight. i have driven and hacked for a few years but i am going to begin lessons soon so i want to ensure that a) i'm not in pain and b) i am riding level, nothing effecting me when riding as not to efffect levelness of horse ect

thanks in advance!

i have tried them all over the last 18years but chiropracter works best for me. saying that i am having physio atm as i have 2 prolapsed discs

yea

i'm not sure but is physio for a specific injury like slipped discs ect rather that achiness?

eeek, its a mindfield!

have been to see a chiro and would definitely recommend it. it did scare the life out of me when i first went as thought i was going to break! I'd had an achy back for a long time, and after three sessions at the chiro it felt completely different. from what i understand (and I'll admit i'm certainly no expert) chiros work on the spine, so work on the skeletal structure, and physios focus on the muscular structure.

which one would be best for you will depend on your back. the chiro worked a treat for me and will definitely be going for a regular crunching!

Just to confuse you even more I swear by a Bowen Therapist. The one I use is based in West Yorkshire and he helped me so much I called him my 'Witch Doctor'

Hope you get sorted before it gets any worse

i would be carefull who you go to, i had prolapsed discs and went to a chiropracter and they just about finished my back off, they put me in really bad pain.
