Back people

I watched my friends horse get treated by the back person today and it just got me wondering. People pay a lot off money to get their horses back treated like my friend who's horse always seems to have a bad back. But she never seems to look further into it. I mean if my horse constantly had a bad back I would want to know why and find the reason behind it not keep paying £60 every 6 weeks. The lads back was very bad but it keeps happening. Iv suggested getting the saddle looked at but just get told " it's fine" but you can see that it doesn't sit on the horses back it's up in the air.
Just got me wondering why somebody would keep paying a back person without looking into the actual problem. Your treating the problem but not the cause

If it's muscular, it may never go away.

My guy has permanent damage from a previous owner, and I still have to manage it nearly 10 years later to keep him pain free and fit

I treat it myself though, so not as expensive as always getting the back person out!!

Just read properly about your friend though- my horses was not just due to an I'll fitting saddle (thought it didn't help!!) - in this case yes I think that's silly not to remove the cause!!
