(cos when been before to yard i wasn't there) but Rosie is being checked on Wednesday, what do they do ? how do they put backs back in? what do you need to do after they are treated? How long do they have to have off?
Thanks!

My George was a bit sore in the back when I got him, the back lady asked to see him trotted up and trotted on a circle and also wanted to see his saddle. She then massaged him very thoroughly along his back and rump and also around his shoulder area. She also manouvered all of his legs into the oddest positions/stretchs (which George seemed to love!), she then massaged his back again and gave him some 'electronic accupuncture'. As he was quite sore before he had a day off and was fine after - quite fascinating to watch!

I had the backman on thursday. He uses manipulation therapy. I just stand with my horse in the stable as he feels over her then pushes and pulls her back in to place. He says give them the next day off, a walk the day after and then back to normal work.

I usually have a session with the back person for my own back problem if I am going to have them treat my horse. That gives you a really good indication of how good they are! Different 'back' people do different things. Chiro's and osteo's are more skeletal, massage is obv for muscles, so it depends which one you have. There are also diff things like acupuncture, bowen etc that work in different ways.
