Well I wouldn't recommend Annabel Jenks for a start!

Suzie Grady is good, but I'd go for Andre Buthe every time - he's a vet and a chiro and does acupuncture.

BTW it is illegal for any therapist to treat your horse without a vet's prior approval...

Really? oooh never knew!!! :O lol, none of the previous "back people" i have used have ever asked for vet permission! oh dear :/
Why wouldnt you use annabel? (PM if prefferred). I have heard about Andre but apparently he has a long waiting list and is quite expensive?
Thanks for your reply btw

I am always shocked as a therapist myself how many other therapists do not bother checking with the vet! It is required however it is often overlooked and on occasion speaking to the vet is also a good idea. I have sometimes not worked on a horse due to the owners vet raising concerns which if I hadn't been aware of could of caused issues.

Andre has a waiting list for a reason, he's brilliant. Not that expensive when it works and your horse is back working after one session.......

Will pm you re AJ

Michele Brooker and yes she will not work on your horse without the vets permission and she is very well qualified she also initially trained as an NHS physio, she treats the horses on my yard as and when necessary. I can PM you her number.

I'm having someone called Gemma to Freddie tomorrow, she has done all the horses on the yard and they all swear by her... apparently she picked things out for each horse and guessed how they'd been to ride, without anyone saying a word to her.

I can't remember her last name but will find out tomorrow and let you know.

Ooooh, What sort of vet concerns would stop you working on a horse?

a number of things could contrindicate work or complicate work i.e. old injury, certain stages of rehabilitation, severe osteoarthritis and old pevic fractures etc. Sometimes can still work on the horse but need to change the approach used :-)
