Back person Yorkshire

Tim Jarman, Janet Ellis, Angela Brock. First and last are Mctimoney chiros and Janet is a physio. If you search for posts on here using physio yorkshire you'll find lots of posts :)

We're in West Yorkshire and we use Tim Jarman - he's fab with tricky horses too (my mums horse is a sod with the vet, and suspicious of the saddler, but loved Tim)

Im in East Yorks and i use www.lizharris.co.uk she travels throughout yorkshire.
What she has done for my horse, is beyond what i thought possible. I recommend her to anyone and now all my yard, and all my YO clients use her and rave about her as well.

Cannot thank her enough for all her work on my horse and she isnt one to make up excuses to come back early like several other ones on our yard did before we had her!

Thanks guys

i have emailed most of the reccomendations
Tim isn't taking on anymore atm which is a shame as my mare is 'difficult' to say the least
Janet Ellis hasn't replied
Angela Brock is looking the most likely :)

Any idea's how much i should expect to pay?

thanks :)

another vote for joe carby hes fantastic my horse is a nightmare and he works really quietly and patiently with him and the results he got out of him were second to non. ive used both vicki spalding and tim jarman in the past and niether kept my lad as calm as Joe did.

He is also very good at giving back up information on exercises to do to help keep your horse supple.

I think he charges £50 which is WAAAY less than what vicki charges now and im pretty sure he is less than tim but not 100% on that!

I use Angela B - Very good, and fantastic with the horses.

Think she charges about £35 but dont quote me on that! (Thats inc travel and we're in Halifax)

i have booked in with Joe Carby for next week

He seems to be the only one who can fit me in asap

i will report back and let you know how we get on :)

the symptoms mine has is
reluctant to be ridden
Napping
Will not pick up one leg, at all!
nods when trotting in the field although doesn't appear lame

Has anyone else had these?

Has your Vet checked out your horse first? Just asking as my friend's horse was displaying your first 2 symptoms, he needed surgery on his hind suspensories..... your Physio should get permission from your Vet before treating as a rule., though I guess there are a lot who dont..

When my mare wouldnt pick up one of her front legs she had injured the tendon. Wouldnt weight bear atall. Nodding when trotting usually indicates lameness in my experience.

Not as of yet as most who have seen her (friends instructor) seem to think it could be something in her back, depending what happens Friday my next step is the vet :(

i must point out she has always had an issue with this leg since buying her and the farrier thinks it could be related to her mistreating in the past as she was in a state
