I feel really guilty, Abbey has been playing up when we try and jump recently, and on tuesday she was really bad she just kept bucking wether I held her back or let her go, so had my very knowlegeable friend out last night and he said she is sore all down her left side from sholder to rump! shes all notted and thats why she has been playing up! I feel horrible for pushing her but I really thought it was her being a typical stroppy mare

Dont feel guilty most peoples horses have had this at some time or other. You will need to go on the web site for your area to find someone, I am in Kent so well out of the area. Also look into Bowen therapy I have heard that this is very good. Speak to people with horses in your area someone is bound to recommend a "back person" to you. It can usually soon be sorted out. A way to check is to run your left thumb and index finger from her withers right down to her tail pushing firmly but not too hard. she will flinch if you get on a sore spot, then you know something is not right and you can call the "back person" out.
