Can anyone recommend a good one as I need to get one for a show jumping thing in a few weeks time. Don't know anything about them as have never worn one. Any info welcome, thanks.

I have had a couple over the years but my current new one is a Racesafe and I love it. Because it is made up of the little squares it is very flexible and incredibly comfortable. It is the only back protector I can say that I really forget I am wearing even on long 2+ hour hacks!

I had a Rodney Powell made to measure and it's AWFUL! Bought a racesafe last week, not ridden in it but worn it around the yard a little to 'break it/me in' and it seems loads better.

Airowear/race safe. Race safe looked the most comfortable, but as I don't ride much/well, I decided the price tag was a little excessive. I jump about 1' when I jump... on a good day!

I've had rodney powell and aerowear, much prefer my aerowear one, is so much more comfortable

I have an airowear Zippa Plus (has built in shoulders) even though I'm strictly local level - because I am a complete wimp and too old to bounce. I love it - feel naked without! I have a navy blue one I wear over my jacket for SJ - if I knew how I'd stick a photo on that shows you can hardly tell I'm wearing it. Cost me over £100 though...

Racesafe.
-Flexible -Breatheable -Forget you're wearing it when it's on -Zip up front. -Can buy shoulder pad attatchments -Can adjust from sides -Can order them in different colours...

I could go on. I would definately reccomend them!

hiya hun,

i emailed you today but dont know if you got it (stupid work computer - tell Andy is not playing logically

)

Go for a Rodney Poweel they are brilliant - worth the money - think Baxters stock them in most sizes.

how was trailer loading?

Got your e-mail and e-mailed right back...well when I got home! Loading now taking place on Saturday...so hopefully the monkey will just go in. She was as calm as anything in the stable tonight and we can but cross our fingers.

Would definitley recomend my racesafe one too. By far the most comfortable body protector i've ever had & doesn't feel like a hard 'shell' when i'm riding in it!
