Morning All!
Does anyone have experience of taking their horses back shoes off? Bents came off on Thurs as he is only really going to be able to be ridden once or twice a week during the winter. I rode on Fri and Sun keeping to the road or soft ground where he was fine but he was very uncomfortable on stoney ground. I know there will be a transition period especially while he grows out the nail holes but I hope he can cope without them. He has good feet although they are rough around the edges already and the farrier said to give it a few weeks and if he isn't coping he would come and put them back on. Any advice on how I can help him make the transition? Thanks.
