holy moly!!! - been trying to get on the forum all day! have gone off the boil a bit now! my horse was diaognosed arthritis in front pastern few week back - i have been advised by the vet to bring her back into work slowly, which i have and today the going was great due to the rain last night so my freind and i went on the playing field for a canter - we had 2! she did a wopeeee buck both times!!!! (bit of a surprise!) and went along better than ever, instead of pulling herself along from the front her bum went down and she came from behind - it was fab!!! she did a big spook at a mole hill which nearly unseated me but i will forgive her this once!! Im sooooo thrilled she is nearly back to her old self and when i turned her out she ran off like a 2 year old!! Yipeee!!

thanks - jumpthemoon, ive been so upset thinking it was the end of her riding career and she'd only just begun! But now i can see some light at the end of the tunnel - today just showed how much she'd missed doing anything except walk walk walk for miles every day, as per vets instructions. i have NEVER known her buck, it was one of those 'legs up in the air and to the side happy ones' as if to say 'thank god we can have some fun again!'

She's obviously feeling better! I'm quite envious but hopefully we'll be out and about soon(ish) too. Can do without the bucks though!
