Thank you to everyone who offered advice on my thread this week. All went to plan, pony was a little fidgety initially as he adjusted to the feeling but apart from that all went well :) Some of you may recognise the pony from my 'condition - at the end of my tether' thread, he has put on weight and although the topline is yet to come he looks much better. Many thanks to my new young helper, a fellow HHO-er who did a great job of washing and grooming the pony for his big moment :)
The jockey (a friends daughter) did her job brilliantly
and I have cracked open a bottle of wine after a long and emotional day!

I realise the jockey is very tall but I hadnt seen her for 18 months and she has shot up! she luckily is very lightweight though :)

Thanks :) I love this little chap, he was ravaged by sweet itch when i bought him and the subsequent strong medication knocked him for six so I put off the backing for months

So relieved its done now!
