Hi I think my horse may have a bit of trouble with his back.He won't stand still when I mount and seems uncomfortable. I bought saddle about a year ago and had it fitted but think I should get it checked again. My question is should I get a 'back person' to have a look at him too? If so what kind of person and does anyone know of someone in the North West? Thanks

I think I would be inclined to get your horse's saddle checked first. New saddles can need several 'adjustments' to the stuffing, plus your horse may have changed shape. If your saddle fitter is good he/she will be able to give you advise re the back person and whether or not there could be another problem.

Rachael is EXCELLENT. I would reccommend getting her out to check him and give him a massage. Then get her out again once you have had your saddle checked and altered. That's what she reccommended for me when my horse had a similar problem. He was only a little uncomfortable - nothing major but I found a huge difference after she had been (but he is a sensitive wuss). Once my new WOW saddle arrives and is fitted I will get her back to check all is well.
