Hi, my horse has a cough and has yellow snot coming from both nostrils. He has had this over a week now as I was hoping it would improve but it hasn't. I am almost certain that it is a bacterial infection because to other horses at the same yard had similar symptoms. They have been given a course of antibiotics and an antibiotic jab. Is there any way of me acquiring this medication without having to pay the cost of a vet call out fee? I'm trying to get around this in the cheapest way possible, as my horse is not yet insured. Thanks I'm advance!

It's irrelevant, insurance normally has an excess so you would stll have to pay for a calllout. Get the vet asap and accept that horses cost money, vet fees, farrier fees, dental fees, instructor fees, feeds, supplements, tack, etc etc.
