Is there anything else that can cause bad breath in dogs other than teeth?
My 2 JRT's have revolting breath. Spotty has a couple of wobbly teeth at the front and I'll be taking him to have them sorted but Buster has a lovely set of nashers but appauling fish breath...heave

All they get is James Wellbeloved and the occasional hide chew and snaffled apples off the tree or the odd carrot..

My dog has bad breath and perfect teeth but he's a scavenger and even though we don't give him treats he sometimes gets things on walks etc so I've always put it down to that.

Interesting..thanks.
They do have the occasional bone form the farmshop but maybe I should think about changing them to a raw diet...how do you go about that?

I started with just mixing in some lean mince with their regular food and slowly cutting out the biscuits and adding in more things like bones and half chickens ect.

I also found that it cut down on any hyper behavior made their coat and teeth lovely and also they don't beg anymore ever and they were serial beggars before.

We talked with the butcher and struck up an arrangement for all the off cut bits of meat and bones that we get for a small price.
I buy bags of soup bones from him also and i also frequent the sell off meat section in the supermarket.
They can eat pretty much anything.

Don't feed to many bones just a small amount each day.
You can crack an egg over it to get extra shinny coat.
And they love it and i think my boys feel far more satisfied after they have eaten.
And instead of 5 minutes to eat it takes them half an hour so keeps them quiet!

Anymore questions you can PM me.
