My elderly dog has really bad breath. He has various health issues so putting him through a dental at the vets isn't an option. He's at the stage in his life where we are keeping him comfortable. Any ideas what we could tryto make his breath smell better. He won't let me brush his teeth.

My old boy had a condition called lip fold dermatitis. The smell was horrendous and his saliva stank as well. The vet gave us a sort of toothpaste to rub on his gum and just squeeze along his teeth, no brushing required. This worked miracles. Unfortunately I can't remember what it was called.
