Hi all, we have been approached by the BBC with regards to a feature on The One Show requesting information and case studies with regards to the unscrupulous sale of dogs online. In particular they would like to hear from anyone who may have had a bad experience as a result of buying a dog/puppy online. Have you purchased a sick dog/puppy or have you taken on a dog/puppy described as a particular breed only to discover the dog is actually another breed? How about the other way round were you do a honest advert, send the potential buyer loads of photos and info and then they turn up at your house and are so aggressive you have to ask them to leave :( had that a few weeks back and no they didn't get a puppy off me.
 
Not that I breed, but that's another reason why I would never advertise pups on a free website along with items like cars and televisions and other inanimate objects, there are some people with less than good intentions browsing as well as the legit people....each to their own.
 
Not any experiances as such, but have of late noticed rehoming pages popping up on Facebook, and there are people going round and picking up Free to good home dogs, and then advertising them for SALE!! a week later, there has been quite a lot of naming and shaming and the police being called..
 
Yep, the dog dealers, a lot advertise under the guise of a little old lady whos' elderly dog has died and is heartbroken (very IT savvy grannies these days), or a parent of a child desperate for a puppy/or whos' puppy was run over, must be cheap or free because they don't have much *sniff sniff*, then resold for an inflated sum, at best....
