Bad fall Update

Popped off to the docs this morning, as pain still very bad, and although have movement in my arm now, my back and chest are agony. And my shoulder is going a lovely shade of black

Doctors diagnosis? The whole area is 'mush'. LOL Nice description. All they could do was give me even stronger painkillers, and sign me off all next week too!
Gutted. Bored. And annoyed the weather is so nice

Ouch poor you. Like the medical terminology the doc used

Have you tried arnica, either pills or the cream. I swear by it for bruising.

I found this forum a wonderful way of keeping myself occupied when I was signed off this time last year for 12 weeks with a nasty broken leg!

Sun is overrated anyway, too hot for me atm so I'm staying indoors!

Bruises are agony when they active, I do sympathise even if I don't sound it! Lots of good books and catch up on the sleep you missed while delivering those foals; the time will soon pass and it'll be just when you've got used to being an invalid, you'll feel a tad better and have to go back to work! Only thing I would advise is to not let it stiffen up too much, that way it won't hurt quite so bad and I always found nice warm baths to be very soothing.

I didn't read your OP but are you sure you haven't broken your collarbone??

I broke mine and it was so black and swollen the doc said its probably just bruising and ligament damage, wasn't till 3 years later when it still wasn't right that he finally sent me for x rays and recommended surgery!!!!!

Warm baths are wonderful, it's just getting in that poses the problem

And gettng out is an experience in itself

Want to go back to work so badly! Cus I live on the yard, I have to watch everyone else working outside, and feel guilty! Even went out for the vet round this morning and see how everything is going.
Am enjoying watching the foals play outside my window though

You'd all be so jealous of my view.

Had x rays done sat night, and doc had a feel of it today. Pretty sure that part is just bruised

ICE Packs and Arnica Cream.

In my experience severe bruising and mush is often far more painful than a fracture.
