Bad Horse Allgery - New liniment, carr day & martin

I purchased the new all singing and dancing Carr Day & Martin Liniment that sooths, refreshes, cools, heats etc to apply to my hunter after a hard day,

He is know to tie up at times so i thought this may help chill him out again,

i used the product as directed on boxing day as a refreshing rinse, (diluted) and then on saturday as a rub,

to my horror 3 hours later this is what my horse looked like - after the emergency vet, and some upset and suffering it has now started to settle,

Anyway - lesson learnt, DO not trust anything!!! this horse is a solid welsh cob that has never been lame, sick, sorry etc in his life (touches wood!!)

i have wrote to the company explaining also - but beware people

p.s - when i used the product the first time he was fine, (because i had diluted it as directed)

Have you contacted them? Did the instructions say to do a patch test? Your poor horse!

No, just a massive leaflet saying how amazing this stuff was, but because I had used it diluted on him before I never even gave it a second thought and just used it as a rub

It takes a first exposure to develop an allergy.

Did the vet give/suggest anything? Hope the manufacturer does the right thing too.
