Oh JJJ, huge hugs.
It is the most unpleasant situation any horse owner and lover can be in, I can't imagine how much this is devastating you.
You have spent time and love willing him better and that hasn't gone unnoticed but unfortunately, sometimes it doesn't always turn out well.
