Has anyone else's horses had a bad reaction to this feed? My horse has never been quite so insane and he has only been on small amounts of it over 6 days. Really quite upset as he has never been quite so hyper and loopy and basically just downright crazy.
Cant understand what must have made him so bad, looked at the ingredients list and it has no starch, v. high fibre- basically only has soya beans/oils, wheatfeed and vits/mins in it. He's been great on soya oil before hand so am guessing it must be something in the husk of the soya beans.

Horse is normally quite ok on normal feeds like cool mix or conditioning cubes.

Lush grass??? too much sugar my lawn is full of sugar!! Had to mow my lawn twice in 3 days!!! Grass just keeps coming through! Horses only need to smell it to go mad!

Hope you are well by the way.

No not yet but I will do. I've never seen him like this before and he's not one to react to feed changes normally.
Shame I cant give it to you - will have to burn it I think otherwise will be attracting the rats.

I agree about the top spec balancer it sent my normally placid mare crazy last year.

I think I should start giving topsepc a miss which is a shame as I do like the ideas behind their products but they just dont seem to work!

Back to cheap old Mollichaff calmer for me I think!

I tried it this year on a broodamre who needed weight gain, no grass through at the time, and she went totally OTT on it. Took her off it and back to normal.

I too think TS is the best but it certainly doesn't suit all horses by any means.

Ooh, I'll buy it off you if you want?? Have been thinking about sticking the grey horse on it as he's a little slimmer than I really want him at the mo.

How odd

I put Moon on the Topspec cubes and conditioning flakes a couple of weeks ago and am really pleased so far- no adverse reactions, thats for sure!

I have 3 horses on Topspec Feed Balancer & about 2 months ago added the Cool Conditioning cubes, mine are all absolutely fine, haven't had a problem yet.

Could it be the spring grass? I still have very little grass and haven't moved them over to their spring field yet.

I own a totally crazy arab, I mean really bad trembles, gives himself colic, cannot hack out with more than one horse etc and he has been super cool on this feed its the only thing that has worked, we feed him Dengie HiFi original, top spec Cool condition cubes and top spec leisure balancer oh and NAF Magic (mind you this is the only calmer that has ever worked!) I would be more inclined to go with the others lush grass and the smell of spring.
