i have invested in a new(isn) rug. It was supposed to be for Spike the Spensive, but I've decided that its going to be a mobile naughty corner. Anyone who is bad has to wear it. I have called it "The rug of shame"...

She's never naughty! She practically has a halo...
And she wouldn't mind having to wear a pink rug.

Thats Alf wearing it - he was nearest when I dragged it out there, so he got to be model!

I haven't explained the "rug of shame" principle to him yet. Didn't think it was fair to traumatise him when he hasn't actually been naughty...yet!

One of mine is currently wearing a pink rug,only he has now ripped it.

OH was laughing at knobberpony's rug the other day,it has a 'cuddly ponies' logo on it.He pointed out that she is the least cuddly pony on the planet.

Reminds me of a bright pink sweat rug I bought a few years back. It was only £5 as nobody wanted it. Horses are colour blind so thought it wouldn't matter but always felt a bit guilty putting it on horse.

It wouldn't work on my boy. He rolls so much his rug is always mud coloured.

That's nothing Auslander , a friend who parted with her mare gave me a stylish pink , lilac and baby blue striped outdoor rug .
I have it on a chunky ID gelding .
I think its why he rolls so much in a vain attempt to cover it up.

Looks like Spike is going to get out of wearing it completely. It drowns him! my other 6"9 Weatherbeeta fits him fine! Weird.

First rug of shame fail. Got to the yard this morning to find that Tia had limbo'd under the electric fence overnight, and churned up the soggy bit I was trying to save. She wears a 6ft3 rug, so the rug of shame would drown her completely.

I ignored her while i put hay out in the rest of the school - the bit she is SUPPOSED to be in, and took my time putting her back. I think that hurt her more than making her wear the rug!
