Has anyone been having a bad week in the big wide world?
I went on a charity ride on Sunday with my tb gelding. It was disastrous. The first two and a half miles he was calm and contented then... a pony and cart went past. That had to set him off. The rest of the way round he shivered under me and kept on leaping around. I had both my mum and a friends mum on either side of me holding him with leadropes but whenever he got himself into a tizzy he would jump around, throw in bucks and rears and in general try to get me off. It was obvious he was scared but there was nothing we could do. We were half way so either way it was gonna take a long time to get back. We put up with another 2 and a half miles of this until we reached the field with our trailer to he settled down. It has put a really gloomy feel on this week sadly :(. How is everyone else doing? Having a good or bad week? :(

My horse went balistic (sp) at a show on sunday, and became a bucking bronco. He eventually got me off, and bu**ered across the lorry park still broncing madly. And what ghastly monster had caused this?.................A plastic bottle in the grass!!! So not a good start to the week for me either. I have a hugh bruise and bump on my knee which makes riding v painful, and a very stiff neck. I have 2 hours of dressage lessons tomorrow, could be interesting!!!

Agree with MrsMozart, just put it behind you,not many horse see or have a pony and trap come up fast behind them, cars yes pony and trap no, so must really have put the jeebbies up him, bless him, but you did right to carry on and he will improve:D:D:D:D

Charliemouse, plenty of Arnica on the bruises, horse in the doghouse, and a large glass of wine and a few of your favorite choccies.:):)

That is just what I am doing. Arranging for the the horse to go to boot camp, whilst eating my way through a large bag of malteasers, and several malibu and cokes!!!!!!
