Badders Thread - in here or NL?

Cooly, well I'll be in here. I'm really excited about it, esp as I'll get to keep up with a day of dressage this year. Usually I only catch snippets while I'm in work.

Mind you it can get very heated in here!! Every year there has been a controversial subject and riders criticised and then others saying that riders should not be criticised as you know nothing about the background of the partnership or what the horse is going like.

Previous crits - Nick Gauntlett's riding, Louise Skelton's riding, Mary King's riding, Pippa Funnells riding (anyone remember the hay carts!!). These are just a few off the top of my head.

Well at least in here there's a chance the armchair brigade won't be advocating not attempting 4* until you are confident you can complete all three phases in a headcollar and that it's cruelty to horses to make them sweat.

I am desperate to start a post in NL called hypocritical and discuss the meaning of it!! For instance the Grand National should be banned but keeping your horse in an obese manner is fine.

Dressage is cruel - but being overweight and out of balance is not.

I could go on.

Are badders doing the radio commentary of the dressage like they did last year? (or was it the year before). Shame Pheobe isnt running a horse there this year.

Ahh i see, thanks very much. Reading that has reminded me of his trip at the step at Badders last year , we were there watching on the screens and were so unbelievably gutted after he had ridden such an amazing round! I suppose that's eventing for you sometimes isn't it...

Thanks for that He's one of the few top riders that I'd really love to have a clinic with, he always seems so friendly and approachable! (Plus I might have a slight crush on him )
