Really proud of my big chap!

We went to Astley Riding Center, never heard of it before but it was a nice enough venue. Took him in the BN and he jumped really well but got a bit forward into the last fence and had it down.

So, onto Discovery, he normally is a bit more careful when the fences go up a bit and he did a lovely clear.

I was last in the jump off and was going to take it quite steady but I'm not that great at going for steady clears.

Decided I would make a bit of an effort and he was brill! Turned and jumped really well and we went into the lead!!

Thanks for reading, sorry to be so boring but he's never won anything at all so far so quite an important day for him!

I'm really happy!

not because he won but because he is going so well this year, he's really improved loads and seems to be quite consistent now. Not really sure why, it's certainly not because of all the training and practice we get!

We might go next week and make a tit of it all but we've had two good days in a row now so at least we can get it together sometimes!

Thank you!! So glad you've had a good day too - felt a bit guilty last night when many HHOers were having a bad day and i was all upbeat after having a great day

you win some you lose some i guess

You're just doing all the winning at the mo H!!

As you say all can go wrong quickly, I had my fair share of bad days last year (mum's horse decided he wouldn't SJ and I kept falling off mine!) and so we have to enjoy the good days to make the bad ones worth while!
