how far is the campsite from the actual event, this year will be our first year camping........30 days to go

I'd like to know this as well and also what facilities are like. Daughter and I are sleeping in lorry this year ,fed up with not having enough time for horses and retail therapy and not enough room in disco to take stuff home

The campsite is a few minutes walk from the showground, facilities are pretty basic, non flush portaloos & some minging showers, prepare to be a bit stinky for a few days!! However, doesn't put me off going every year.

I'm camping Thursday evening to Sunday with OH, really looking forward to it, just hope the weather holds out!!
Showers are ok though it's a bit of a gamble as to whether it'll be boiling hot or freezing cold plus there's usually a queue morning and evening. Toilet's are ok and usually clean'ish with paper. Overpriced food vans on the campsite!
