You need a car pass to park. If you are going on more than one day it is worth buying one, if not just pay for the car park on the day.

Not worth buying a car pass then, you can pay on the gate. A forward car pass doesn't necessarily mean you get in any quicker though, you just need to leave home really early

We usually aim to be at Badminton by about 8am BUT I stay in Warminster so it's not as far to drive. It takes 2 hours to get to Badminton from where I live so you could say 1.5hrs from junction 27.

The problem isn't with the car parks, but with the lanes from the motorway to Badminton. By 9.30 it is completely congested and you just crawl along listening to Radio Badminton. I generally try to get there before 9am and browse the trade-stands before the event starts (usally at about 11). I'm also driving from Devon.
