I'm organising a trip to Badminton on XC day with our university riding club...I was just wondering has anyone had/organised a 'celebrity' course walk before? How did you sort it and how did it go on the day? I've sent a few emails out but if anyone has a any suggestions/contacts I'd really appreciate it!

So far I've contacted Lucinda Fredericks, William Fox-Pitt, Richard Meade and the Hoys. I'm not holding out on hearing anything back but it's worth a try!

tbh if it's on xc day you'd have more luck asking someone who's retired and not going to be riding. they've got enough on their mind if they're riding, and certainly wouldn't want their concentration wrecked by questions if they're doing their last course-walk on the day...
i'd try Ginny, Ian, people like that tbh. much more likely to be willing to.

Eric Winter does a good course walk and as Mike Etherington Smiths protege it would be interesting to hear about the course from a previous Badminton competitior who has now moved on to course designing at a top level

Sounds interesting, thanks! You don't happen to have a contact for him at all? Can't find much on the internet!
Also if anyone has a contact for Ian Stark it'd be much appreciated!
