I'm currently listening to radio Badminton. I am wondering if there is any coverage of today's dressage on TV? Perhaps on Sky if not on BBC?

Also, does anyone know if Carl is going to be doing any of the commentary this year?

So many questions

Thanks in advance!

LOL I was just going to post the same thing!!!! Soooooooooo frustrating only being able to hear how lovely (or not) they are going and not being able to see it.

Carl was doing the commentary before the first break but is riding in a dressage display over the lunch break so I imagine is preparing for that.

Stupid fool said now live over to Karl and now all I can hear is some background noise if I put volume on full.

Suspect someone has flicked the wrong switch.

The badminton webcast is explained here;

http://video.badminton-horse.co.uk/

hope that link works! Basically it is showing top Thursday dressage riders tomorrow, top Friday dressage on Saturday and XC/SJ are live.

You get 200 free credits when you register an account, which will get you the first 40mins free. Thereafter you need to buy credits from the website hosting it in blocks, starting at £5.

Will need to get hubby to sign up for his free credits too...

I created myself an account using this link, received an email saying I had 200 free credits registered to me. When I went into their website though, I couldn't find any way of getting past 'buy credits'......................have you had any success? It looks to me like you have to buy credits before you can use the 200 free ones?

Oooh... that's cheeky! I haven't actually tried viewing anything as I'm at work! Will try this evening when I'm at home though. That's a shame if you have to spend a fiver to get the free credits, but I guess it makes business sense for them!

Yes you have to spend a fiver to get the credits, and currently I'm back on here as I can't find the link via their site, so have come back to see how you got there.
very disappointed as it doesn't seem the good deal it sounded..

That's quite sneaky, because the way it is worded on the Badminton website makes it sound like you get a free trial 40mins then can decide to pay more or not.

Not sure whether it's worth the fiver to watch the dressage when I can just wait 'til Sunday for the highlights on BBC2. XC is free in BBCi that I'll be watching tomorrow and the last lot to go SJ is also on BBC free.

Shame really, as there's a few tests I'd like to have seen, just can't justify the money at the moment.

Cracked it! you click on the 500 once you are at the vid clips bit and it plays the clip. You get Harriet Harrison and Pammy Hutton commentating.
I think Pammy is good in that she tells it like it is, but she's very quick to correct poor H Harrison if she makes the slightest mistake, I bet the poor girl's a bag of nerves!
Having met P I know her bark's worse than her bite, but no way would I share a commentary box with her, she'd turn my knees to jelly..

It's not sneaky. I've not paid a thing, or given any credit card details yet I've signed up for my free credits and watched 3 tests from yesterday now. You can also sign up with lots of different email addresses and collect the free credits that way too.

you certainly don't have to spend anything.

Any links to radio badminton on the web?

ETS: you have to click on the link in the email they send you.

Yeah, I've just discovered the 200 credits are genuinely free ones! I hadn't actually tried until a few minutes ago but had registered and signed up yesterday.

Had to watch with no commentary though as was on work computer. Will wait til this evening and then watch at home with the sound on!

ETS: I'm sure I saw a Radio Badminton link on the Badminton homepage, down the bottom on the right hand side under "quick links". Like I said though, no sound on work computer, so no idea if it works!

Yep, found radio badminton, coverage is patchy as it's streaming live.

You don't need to persudae hubby to sign up, just get yourself a new email address (via hotmail or gmail) and register again! I have 5 email addresses...should hopefully be able to watch all the dressage tests for free!
