hwo come call again cavalier isn't entered? Is it cos he is already qualified for the olympics?

apologies for all the Q, but how do they work out the pnts as assumably most foreign riders will not have BE points? E.g Jonty Evans, I would imaigne he has EI pnts?

Probably doesn't need to run and the risk in Olympic year is too high I'd imagine

Its not BE points but FEI points (awarded at international events.) The qualification period is the current and previous two calender years, so in this case 2006.
