Doing two strides seems to encourage jumping the second wave on an angle out past the sknnies and seems to have resulted in a couple of run outs. Three strides is letting them take the second wave straight on and therefore much better line to the skinnies.

They do don't they... but the slightest mistake doesn't half cause huge problems!
A lot of very technical combinations on the course- echo the comments made by others re the flags, they seem to be falling apart with just a small brush against them

yeah thank god...i saw last year with poor horse who got spiked by one
well done flag people for making them so weak!! lol!!
