Badminton ride

Anyone else have this problem...........my friend and I entered in advance for the Badminton ride this year, which was cancelled due to foot and mouth, but they cashed our cheque (for enterance fee) AFTER the date they cancelled the ride (????????) and are not replying to emails ! Ok we would expect to loose our entrance fee if we didn't turn up, but I would expect a refund because they cancelled !

the Verneys who organise it are very decent people, I'm sure it will also sort itself out... they are probably struggling with claiming cancellation insurance etc first
