Well, I booked the lorry last night to take me and a friend to the Badminton Sponsored ride. I haven't done it for about 6 years - and am sooo excited about doing it on Thumper.

Anyone else planning on going? It's on 28th September.
 
Ooooh - do you have any more details? How long is the ride?

Keep your eye on the Beaufort's website for updates. But it's usually around 10 miles long. Lots of jumps of varying sizes (including one in the lake where the photographer is) and a wonderful opportunity to gallop up the Avenue.

I feel like a big kid, I'm so excited.

Well worth a day out to take the nag up for a day of fun.
 
I read about the last one and I would LOVE to do that, even though realistically i couldn't possibly take the Moose round it. It would be brilliant to gallop uo the main Avenue - perfect for a little harmless fantasy !

Yes, saw him last night and booked two of us on the lorry.

That sounds fab! Is it the Sat or Sunday though? The 28th is a Sunday according to my calendar, but the Beaufort website says Saturday 28th!

Im going with a friend whos *** horse never quite made it to Badminton - should be great I cant wait - only thing is its the same weekend as Morton Morrell

Please can someone specify exactly which day its on as it is all abit confusing!
 
Saturday Morton Morrell it is then!!! hehe Im really looking forward to it - It will be the only time I ever get to ride at Badders!

No you don't have to wear one - but I have a post in Stable Yard asking about body protectors as I want to buy one. My lad is a super jumper - however I'm not, so would like mucho protection for hitting the deck.....
 
I haven't been for a few years - would love to go again but it's gotten so expensive!
I'd like to go again to get round - last time I had a trip to A&E!
It is a lovely ride though and you get a photo op in the lake with Badminton House in the background
