Can someone tell me why 85% of the people at Badders were wearing pale pick or pale blue (even the boys!)......It is like there is a uniform to be adopted.

As a rebellious type, I have decided to stick with alternative colours......After Satruday, I have had enough of seeing pale pink!!!
Also saw some Chelsea Davy lookalikes, Kate Middleton look alikes (no it was not actually them) and plenty of people walking around the x-country tripping over themselves in flip-flops!!

For me everywhere I looked people were in small fitted jackets, skinny white or beige jeans with either Dubarrys or Leather Boots.

I was wearing pale blue

No flip-flops though, just Ariat boots.
I noticed a lot of very short skirts and Dubarry boots and the woman in the hot pink bikini top and demin hotpants also stood out!

We saw plenty of people in Dubarry boots....
But you can't have seen me then - I was in scruffy jeans, a green polo shirt and my rather well used Ariat jodh boots!!! Purely functional!!

I lurve dubarry boots and have wanted some for a couple of years....but after Badminton have decided they are toooo common!!!.....lo. Only joking!

I LOVE baby pink and baby blue, or hot pink and browns and creams...my fav colours, even if the fashion moves on I'll still prefer those colours.

On the tv it looked grey, down here it was like July!

Ummm anyone else she the guy (yes guy) dressed in the short tartan mini skirt with long boots and the funny hairdo, I think that was the biggest fashion statement I saw.............

Can we add Joules and Jack Wills clothing to that list? Although I was one of the Joules culprits lol! Every group of people have to have their fashions I'm afraid. But in my defence, I don't *do* normal shopping hence why I was wearing Joules stuff as it's the nicest (and most overpriced) horsey wear I can buy at my local tack shop!

Too much backcombed hair for my liking, teamed with those ridiculous scarves, big glasses etc etc etc - new type of Sloane Ranger methinks
smirk.gif

Also can someone PLEASE tell me why people go in breeches? Do they not realise they look ridiculous?!

Probably hoping that a rider wouldn't be able to compete and somebody might be asked from the crowd to take over the ride

Ah yes, lots of people in jodhs/breeches - some even complete with riding boots and half chaps. Am really not sure why.

I always imagined the people who wear jods to Badminton are the types that actually don't have any other clothes as they don't have a non-horsey life! Weirdos! lol

Apparently it's very fashionable to go in white jeans with dubarrys, ridiculously large sunglasses a string of beads around your neck.
Either that or the shortest little flimsy skirts that blow up with every gust of wind. And then drape yourself on the floor in front of the posh-talking boys and discuss how you 'slept in the same bed as Harry Meade at Henrietta's party'

I'm not joking

White- Horse event.

....Doesn't work for me- I end up looking like a skewbald if I wear anything white. I have talent of collecting stains
crazy.gif

I am sporting the backcombed hair look today!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's called BEDHEAD!!!!!

As for peeps in jods, breeches, I guess some of them could be the people working in the back ground. But, I suspect it is mostly wannabee's! lol

I doubvt they saw a single horse, the bar was the place to be. Sat with a jug of Pimms facing away from the big screen

I noticed the pastel shades too . Loved Lucinda F's hairstyle but the ice pink lipstick that Lucinda G was wearing on Sunday was not flattering
shocked.gif

She (LG) always looks classy in an effortless sort of way - I go for the bag lady syle myself - due , no doubt to my lack of breeding

Well on sat I worn a chukka navy blue and white t-shirt with a baby blue coat over the top just for the morning and Sun I worn my baby blue coat but as a waistcoat and a dark grey and green joules top both times with jeans.
I only worn my baby blue coat as I don't have any other which isn't 20years old and covered in horse poo and slobber!

I also saw a lot of weird plastic looking shoes, with a strap that can go round the back of the ankle or fold forward over the top of the shoe and they had holes in the top.

Yeah, I noticed them too. They are called Crocs. Ugly but comfortable! I wouldn't wear them, though!

Also saw a lot of Chelsea wannabes and posh boys, especially near the big screen.

I must admit I love all that!!
grin.gif

I wore jeans Joules belt navy pumps that matched my Joules navy sweater, my beads and my channel sunglasses!
