Has anyone been to Badders XC day recently with children around the age of 12? My yard is planning a trip this year and there are a few kids who are either 12 but look much older or will be just turned 13 when we go, the website says tickets are free for children aged 12 and under so I was wondering if anyone knew how strict they are on the gate about this? Will the 12 year olds need to bring passports to prove their age perhaps? Or will the ones who have just turned 13 be able to blag a free day out?! It does seem a shame that the 13 year olds will have to pay the same price as adults but I guess there has to be a cut off somewhere

We took a just turned 13 yr old in as a child without problems. It drives me mad that BE big events declare kids adults at 13, especially at the prices they charge!!

Thanks Honey08, that's good to know. TBH the ones who are 12 look older than some of the 13 year olds so I think we'll probably be ok saying they're all 12 or under. I don't see why they can't have a reduced price for 13-16 year olds at least, or even 18!
