I will be attending, as usual. I would watch it on TV otherwise - wouldn't pay to watch it online as the quality is never as good as TV (on my poor little lappy, anyway)

Hi. Never used this method of communication before, so please excuse me if I'm doing to wrong.!!! I am travelling from Southern Ireland to watch the cross country, but I am hoping to get a lift for my mother up from Plymouth / Ivybridge area in Devon for the day. Can anyone help me with a lift? I am willing to pay towards diesel.

How do you watch it online?! and what times it due to start this year - I miss the days of the BBC covering it on 'normal' TV

I do not understand how anyone (including my daughter!) can watch programs online. It is a bit like staring down a pair of badly focused binoculars - only worse. I will be watching it on the Red Button - half recorded, I suspect. I gave up on the Winter Olympics when it appeared that the BBC had handed all the good stuff to Sky. I threw in the towel and signed up - just in time to miss all the Figure Skating and get only the closing ceremony, which I watched on the Beeb anyway!

Will be watching on BBC Red Button & if I can't get to a TV I'm hoping they'll show a live stream of that coverage on the BBC Sport site *fingers crossed* Don't see the sense in paying to watch H&C coverage when BBC coverage should be online too!

Was going with friends but had operation on Thursday so now can't go. Will be glued to telly for whole 5 hours on red button. Grateful that it will be shown as I can't go. (Glad I have a legitimate excuse to sit on sofa for 5 hours though!)
