Sorry for yet another Badminton post but still have afew ?'s

Yesterday thought I had better clean up lorry living being as we are actually going to be living in it for 4 days rather than using it as a dumping ground (yep i know should have done it weeks ago) T o my horror the hobs and oven are not working properly. Called out lorry gas man and it needs full stripping down repairing which he can't fit in until after next week

Help what to do now should i go and buy a camping gas stove thingy or are there food stands etc on camp site? I know someone mentioned a fish and chip van is that it? Don't think I fancy sandwiches either as it's going to be so cold at nights. Is there a pub easy walking distance.

I have got a couple of disposable BBQ but doesn't sound like its going to be the weather for it. It's a shame when I booked this I had visions of lounging around with loads of vino making friends into the small hours. Looks like we are going to be hudled inside just trying to keep warm.

Bad luck! Robert Dyas where doing a nice little two gas ring camping stove for £9.99, did us a treat while mine was being fixed. Hope you get sorted

Go to somewhere like Millets and get kitted out with camping stoves etc etc! Take more alcohol, if you drink enough you won't realise you're cold. Start each day with whisky in your tea too, will set you up for the long days!

And remember torches and candles!!

I would get another stove. There used to be a burger van on the camp site but, if my memory serves me correctly, it wasn't there last time we camped. You will definitely need something, though I think the alcohol idea is a good one

Im a fellow badminton camper ( i have a big tent so go in the seperate field ).

Id take a camping cooker so you can heat not just food but water and make hot drinks.

Food in badders itself is very very pricey and i have never seen a fish and chip van but i kniw a butchers visits.

Get a cheap camping stove and gas bottle and your away.

Defo get yourself a little stove, there used to be a fish & chip van, but can't remember seeing it for a while, it was vile & expensive anyway. See you there!!

Thanks for info I've been out today and got myself a camping gaz stove from argos. Fingers crossed I don't set lorry on fire ( note to self get fire extinguisher!) To tell you the truth I think maybe we shouldn't be going. As now my son is in hospital and he was going to do the horses and the cig lighter has busted so won't be able to charge our phones. Is someone trying to tell me something? Think I'm going to stock up on booze and just go before anything else happens
