I'm planning to go and watch the cross country on the Sunday, but i have'nt been to Badminton for about 15 years and I can remember awful traffic there and back so whats the best time to aim to get there for? I think the cross country starts at 11. Thanks

We've arrived between 7.30am and 8am for the past two years and the traffic was virtually non existent. My sis was living in RAF Lyneham at the time so we went in from Junction 17. It takes you in the back way and the car park is right next to the bottom part of the course. Handy for sitting in the car watching the cross country, while you eat your lunch! :) I would definitely go in this way, no matter which direction I was coming from. It's worth the extra few miles on the M4 if you're coming from the west for the hassle free drive in. We've never been in queues coming in that way, we've literally driven straight onto the field and parked up. It was the same leaving at the end of the day as well, slightly more traffic but certainly no queuing to get out. It's a bit of a walk up to the shops but at least arriving at that time gives you plenty of time for mooching around the stands. Hope this helps! :)

Thanks Suze - good job I'm on holiday and not planning to go.......!!
