"Bag it and Bin it" or "Stick and Flick"

I use biodegradable bags so usually just pick it up in one of those and if I'm far away from civilisation and bins, I just chuck it in the bushes. My older one does usually seek out more private places to poop anyway so I purposefully walk them in those areas if I know they're due to 'go' although Amber is not so bothered and will just 'go' when she suddenly feels like it.

if we are on a footpath/commonly used place i always bag it and bin it.

if we are off the beaten track then i leave it.... she never goes on or near the path- she likes a bit of privacy, and i've never had a complaint from the stags or sheep yet...! :p

clambering thru my mares' field this winter i reached my stack of small bales of hay which i keep on my private land altho we have a public footpath running through the field.
.
reached in to grab a bale for the horses only to discover a plastic nappy sack full of dog poo someone had obviously decided they could be arsed carrying anymore and had chucked on to the hay and left for me to deal with.

some people are charming beyond description

I use biodegradeable bags, always pick up after him and take it home to dispose of in our landfill waste. Local coucil say that's what we should do. We do pass bags of poop dumped on pathways and I cannot understand why you would bother to pick it up and then leave it in a normal carrier bag. It's never going to go away if you don't use the right bags.

Hmm, what's everyone's method for clearing up when your mum's older dog does a huge sloppy mess right in the middle of the main shopping area at a big horse trials, aside from looking mortified (ruddy dog is normally a scrub/long grass squatter  ) honestly, I could have throttled him - that was not fun to scoop in a bag, yeuch! :insert vomiting smiley:

I'm a sticker and flicker normally, am lucky enough to walk the dogs in big areas of woodland, fields etc :)
